California law lets residents opt out of the sale of their personal information and of its use in cross-context behavioural advertising. This page sets out what Tideroot Provisions does with personal information and how to make a request.
Rights Under California Law
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), a resident may find out which personal information a business holds about them and obtain a copy. The same law covers correction and deletion, opting out of sale or cross-context behavioural sharing, and restricting how sensitive personal information may be used. Requests may be made through an authorised agent.
The Shop's Position
Tideroot Provisions sells no personal information and shares none for cross-context behavioural advertising. The site carries no analytics or advertising tags. Data does reach the contractors that serve us (web host, payment processor, email service, parcel carrier) purely to carry out that service, which the CCPA does not classify as selling or sharing.
Lodging a Request
Opt-outs and data requests are welcome all the same. Email support@tiderootprovisions.com with the subject line CA privacy opt-out so it lands in the right queue, and include:
- the name the order was placed under
- the checkout email address
- the right being exercised
Agents must attach your signed authorisation. If your browser emits a Global Privacy Control signal, you are already opted out and need not email us.
After We Receive It
Receipt is acknowledged within one business day, and a detail from a past order may be requested to confirm identity. The request is completed within 30 days and closed with an email.
Exercising these rights brings no discrimination of any kind: you pay the same, get the same service and can use the shop as before.
